What does your 2018 tell you?

I have spent the last couple of days going over the work that we were able to accomplish last year.

This might not look like it would tell you too much, but when you put it to your last yeas quotes that you did as well as to your invoices, it gives you valuable information.

Before diving deep into the excel documents and creating If equations and sum equations til it got tiring instead of fun, I wasn’t sure how our 2018 year had turned out. I knew that didn’t reach the lofty goals that we had set for many of our divisions.

But as I created more analysis and tried to figure out what all the data meant, it changed my perspective on the 2018 year that we did have.

We may not have gained the new client base that we wanted to, but I would rather keep the clients that we do have happy than have to fight to get new ones. The great clients that love what we do gave us over 70% of our total work for the year. That is from only 25 clients.

The 80/20 rule applies and works here.

Digging even deeper into those clients, one client gave us almost half a million dollars of work. That is something to be proud of - not the number itself but what the number represents. To be given that much trust and demonstrate that we will always do everything we possibly can for our clients is understood by this great client.

And though we are so happy to continue working with so many past clients, we are excited to work with the nearly 100 new clients that we helped this year.
Helping them change the way they live, work and feel.

Have you gone over your work from last year?

There is so much you can learn from the things you have already done. And even though a lot of it is numbers - once you look at those numbers and figure out what they truly mean, that is when you get clarity. You can see the change that you are making in the industry, in your community, within your team.

The software that we use (#GetJobber) allows us to keep track of what type of client we are working with, if we had done work for them already, what kind of invoice or quote are we creating and how we came to be working with this client.
